Sec 4A~!

This year's RH day was rather elaborate,
Yet some parts of the celebrations
Were rather disappointing.
_______________________________

Blisters.
_______________________________

Firstly, the Walk.
What were the objectives of the Walk?
To raise funds?
To build bonds?
To explore?
What exactly did we benefit from the 3 hours?
Bruised soles, tans, and lost calories?
If this was the case,
Then why wasn't the whole school population
Involved in the walk?
We have some Teachers, Guides,
Councillors, NPCC and RC stationed,
That's fine,
We have the shopkeepers in school stationed,
That's fine.
Those who have planned the walk remained behind,
That's fine.
What about those who sit around in offices?
------->"Waiting for the cows to come home"?

Exception?

Secondly, the Concert.
This was RH Day, wasn't it.
So then what were the objectives
Of wearing ethnical costumes?
To highlight RH?
To make it more memorable?
To have a notable experience?
Okay, if that's the case,
Then why wasn't everyone dressed
In ethnical costumes?

By the way, nobody was listening
When the Sec 2s were having
Their ethnical costumes competition.

The strong points of the events include
The initiatives displayed by certain people,
The trouble students gone to get their costumes,
The music from angklung,
The emcees' presentation,
The fast clearing up of food,
And the fusion dance.
Though some did not participate,
It is wonderful to see ex-Theresians
Coming back to dance,
And when I asked Aishah if she still remembered,
She said 'Yes, of course!!'
I enjoyed the Dance thoroughly,
And more when the teachers went up stage.
Good ol' SamSng! Lol!

Portraits.

Our class took photos in our homeroom that night,
And look where Magic photo-taking has gotten us.
It was so squeezy that,...
I took some time to regain my balance thereafter.
Photo-shoots...class photos...clique photos...
...strangers photos...whatever.

Bingo.
_____________________________

After that, here comes the fun part in class.
Video-making.
We did 5 videos, didn't we, clique?
The first one was the Wedding...
Second, Banana Tree Dancing,...
Third, Fighting of Sarees...
Fourth, Buying of Scarfs & Policeman.
Fifth, Good Wine.
Sigh, Sng caught us doing the fifth one.
But we weren't embarrassed.
Those were impromptu, well-acted shows.
They should be burnt into CDs.
There's a hidden child and actress in us all.
Though Retarded, there's coordination.
We did the videos while the Dai-ti group
Played another of their famous games, Bingo.
Bingo!

Stray Containers.
_____________________________

Ade, anne, van, fish, qi, and i cleared up
all the remains of the food picnic in class.
(Some containers weren't washed yet-
So whoevers' containers-please claim on Monday!
They are placed in front of the class,
In a plastic bag. I think it's a NTUC plastic bag.
There's a yellow fried-rice container,
The egg salad container,
And one more I can't recall what.)

Verbalize.
______________________________

I returned home only at 11.35pm,
After a nice tau-huaying with Van's family.
Good ol' Auntie & Big Sista!
Once barged into the house,
I couldn't wait to get out of that saree,
Then talked on the phone till 2.30am.
*Soulful eyes!?* hehe.
Prevention is better than cure.

To [you]:
Hey, I see clearly half your bottle,
That half is so transparent to my eyes.
Yet I see there's a need to fill the remaining half
And that's something that only you can do.
"Rite?"
Your situation is so complex,
So dangerous, so breakneck.
Yes, why must it happen at this phase?
The depth you not need to know,
Now it's left with the safety measures.
Prevention is always better than cure.

My Clique!

Solitaire......
___________________________________

...........................When you're alone!
___________________________________

We're our own dragons, as well as our own heroes,
Only we can rescue ourselves from ourselves.

Who else can?

Man is the only being who knows he is alone...

And no matter how close you've been dancing
With your someone,

The Last Dance is done alone.

"Only in solitude do we find ourselves;
And in finding ourselves,
We find in ourselves all our brothers in solitude."

Through what game can you compete with yourself?

Solitaire!

-A Gem that is set alone...
-A person who lives in Solitude
-Any Card Game played alone....
-Extinct large flightless birds in the 18th Century

There was a man, a lonely man
Who lost his love through his indifference
A heart that cared, that went unchecked
Until it died in his silence

And Solitaire's the only game in town
And every road that takes him, takes him down
And by himself, it's easy to pretend
He'll never love again

And keeping to himself he plays the game
Without her love it always ends the same
While life goes on around him everywhere
He's playing Solitaire

Another day, a lonely day
So much to say that goes unspoken
And through the night, his sleepless nights
His eyes are closed, his heart is broken

And Solitaire's the only game in town
And every road that takes him, takes him down
And by himself it's easy to pretend
She's coming back again

And keeping to himself he plays the game
Without her love it always ends the same
While life goes on around him everywhere
He's playing Solitaire

A little hope, goes up in smoke
Just how it goes, goes without saying
Solitaireee....
And by himself it's easy to pretend
He'll never love again
Ohhh
And keeping to himself he plays the game
Without her love it always ends the same
While life goes on around him everywhere
He's playing Solitaire

Ioan's Charm... Posted by Hello
Wind! Help me!

Help me tell him the depth of my Love!

Carry this message with you,

Until you reach his ears...!

To the husband of the wife:
You wait patiently for your wife each day...
Despite the streaks of lightning
Flashed across the dark sky!
Waiting for her to appear from the train station...
And when you see her...,
You practically jumped to your feet,
From the curb where you were seated...
And in turn, she trotted over to you...
The embrace that you and her shared
Is evidence for the mystery called Love!
Your Love is so strong and true,
It has so much strength in its spell!
It defies all Untruth and Hatred!

To the husband of the wife [in the train]:
You held your Love in your arms,
Never speaking, never letting go...
She enjoyed the train journey,
Feeling secure within your circle.
And when she alighted at her station...
You continue to stare after her,
Till the train continued on its Journey.
This is evidence for the mystery called Love!
Your Love is so strong and true,
It has so much strength in its spell!
It defies all Untruth and Hatred!

To one of the drivers of Bus 65:
You are one of the youngest
In your uniform...,
And probably the most patient.
The probability of getting
A driver of your kind
Is probably 1/35?
You are so young, so dashing,
As if a handsomer variation of Pierre Png...?
Thanks for waiting to let me board your bus,
Before you pulled out of HarbourFront.

"I witnessed your talent on Monday..., guy."

"Nothing identifies a woman as being Indian,
So strongly as the sari."

It is indeed pleasurable to drape this smooth,
fluid garment over and around one's body,
adjusting it with tucks and pulls to
suit one's own particular form.

It's almost sensuous.

Somehow, it creates a picture of flowing grace...
...And yet it conceals as much as it reveals.

It might be just a rectangular piece of fabric,
Usually 4 to 8 metres in length,
Yet it brings out the form of a woman
When it is finally shaped around her body.

Possession of a saree will never be waste.

.................................2-Dimensional World
____________________________________________________
Words are extraordinary 2-dimensional...objects.

And yet the word 'WORD' itself has close to 10 meanings.

Here's what I found:

1) A sound or a combination of sounds or its representation in writing or printing, that symbolizes and communicates a meaning.

2)Something said.

3)A set of computer bits constituting the smallest unit of addressable memory.

4)The text of a vocal composition; lyrics.

5)An assurance or promise; sworn intention.

6)A command or direction; an order.

7)News/Rumour

8)Hostile or angry remarks made back and forth.

9)The Scriptures; the Bible.

Words are beautiful,

They form excellent prose,

An expressive form of, well, expressing.

Yet They are hurting at times.

It is incredible how humans have the Power,

To use 2-Dimensional Objects as Weapons,

To destruct others. Intentionally or not.

_____________________________________________________________

Just like you can't recognize EVERY piece

Of Music in History....,
_____________________________________________________________

Just like you can't finish EVERY chapter

Of the Bible, for the Bible never ends....,
_____________________________________________________________

Just like you can't memorize EVERY city or town

On the glossy pages of the atlas....,
_____________________________________________________________

Just like you can't solve EVERY Maths sum

Ever invented by those people....,
_____________________________________________________________

You can't know EVERY word

On the face of the earth.
_____________________________________________________________

[You] threw 2-D objects at someone's shoes,

Without knowing that the shoes was her dearest,

Without caring that the shoes was already her best,

Without thinking if it'll affect her emotional state,

Without bothering about the history of the shoes,

Without noticing her frightened tears,

Without realizing she'll give up hope.

"Aiya, who will think so much?"

Aiya?

What if she had already killed herself,

At the moment those 2-D objects were hurled?

Tomorrow...Tomorrow...Tomorrow...
___________________________________________________

The announcement made this morning,

Of the death of our fellow Theresian,

Have somehow set the mood for today.

Solemn.

Almost lifeless.

Have we ever thanked our Creator,

For our lives & comfort?

For our loved ones?

For our educations?

For our delights?
_____________________________________________

If we were gone TOMORROW..
_____________________________________________

Would we have regrets?

We wouldn't have a chance..

To say "I'm sorry.."

Nor "I love you.."

Nor "Farewell.."

Why?
_________________________________________

To Man, there's always TOMORROW
.
_________________________________________

Have we ever sat down with a friend,

Giving him/her your full attention,

Appreciating his/her voice...

Enjoying his/her words...

Speak of Beauty and Truth...

And thanking him/her for his/her friendship?

We might have...

But it's all done with distractions.
___________________________________________________

What if tomorrow never comes?
___________________________________________________

You'd then be wishing you knew it was your last day...

But it'll be too late.

It'll be a lifetime

Where you were showered with LOVE,

Yet you did not return it.

It'll be a lifetime

Where you were circled with friends,

Yet you did not embrace them.

It'll be a lifetime

Where you got what you wanted,

Yet you did not share them.

It'll be a lifetime

Of things you ought to do,

Yet left undone because there's always TOMORROW.

What if TOMORROW never comes...?

"The enemy is in the house...
Oh God, do You exist?
You do and yet You do not avenge.
I here, am useless!
And I here, am empty-handed.
At times I can only groan, suffer...
And pour out my despair at my piano!"
--------Fryderyk F. Chopin

Something you hate most,

And it's what you fear the most.

Yet it's something so dear,

So true,

So clear,

So pure,

It's your Life.

And yet It casts a spell,

Making you think it's perfect.

But the rules?

Ideas that are not allowed?

It blinds you,

Such that you can't see

The unbreakable boundaries.

Try fighting, protesting...

It won't work.

Nobody would accept yours.

Love It too much,

You're a fool!

Love It not,

You're a bigger fool.

Some relaxing questions I came across,
Especially for those out there who mug 24/7.

Please do not scroll for answers while reading,
This would damage the fun of seeing you scratch your head.
Caution: Content might be too lame for some.

1) Divide 30 by half and add ten. What do you get?

2) If you had only one match and entered a COLD and DARK room,
where there was
-an oil lamp
-an oil heater
-and a candle. which would you light first?

3) How many animals of each species did Moses take with him in the Ark?

4) If a plane crashed near the causeway, between Singapore and Malaysia,
where would the survivors be buried?

5) Twelve pears hanging high,
Twelve men passing by,
Each took a pear and
Eleven hanging left. How can this be? How can eleven pears be left?

6) You're a bus driver. At the first stop 4 people get on. At the second stop 8 people on, at the third stop 2 people get off and, at the forth stop everyone got off. The question is, what is the driver's name?

7) David's father has three sons : Tic, Tac and _____ ?

8) What has a mouth but doesn't eat, a bank with no money and a bed but doesn't sleep?

9) A cowboy rode to an inn on Friday.
He stayed two nights and left on Friday. How could that be?

READY FOR ANSWERS?

1) 70
2) The match.
3) None. It was Noah, not Moses!
4) Bury survivors?! Murderer.
5) 'Each' was a man's name.
6) (Your own name)
7) David.
8) A river.
9) 'Friday' is the name of the cowboy's horse.

Tag and let me know how did you do! =)

You might or might not have watched the last showdown...
I didn't watch, but could hear the TV in my sleep.

NEWSFLASH: GREECE BEAT PORTUGAL 1-0 TO BE THE NEW EURO CHAMPION.

There's a beautiful Dream I had last night
that I'd like to share with others:

It began with me as a captured village girl,
and was brought to a Magnificent Palace,
where I was dressed up so elaborately.

I don't know why,
some strange Palace Folks led me
And we walked and walked and walked
In the interior of the Palace,
Until we walked past the same hall 3 times.

After that, I think I became a servant.
Serving the King? Or Prince? I'm not sure.
But we weren't allowed to see His Majesty's face.

There was one day when I was ordered,
To pick berries, or whatever, at the garden.
I can still remember the garden,
It was a lustrous green,
With a long, winding road uphill.

Before I even began picking the berries,
A young man came running uphill to me.
From what he said to me,
I think he was supposed to be my 'Hero'.
He brought me to hide behind a square bush.
I was on top of him...
(he was lying on his back)..A little crazy.

Right after that, a large army
With chariots and other captured girls
Began approaching near our bushes.
I saw the faces of the captured.
They were frightened,
Some of them saw me,
Some of them whom I knew back at the Village.

When the whole parade left,
I don't know why, I began to give out instructions.
I yelled some instructions to my 'Hero',
And he cut off 2 branches,
And we each had one.
After that, I made a slit in the branches,
So that we could connect a string through.

When we ran downhill,
I being in front,
Many people were gathered at the stadium.
We tidied ourselves,
And I hid the branches underneath a side Curtain,
Like those in the school hall.

I think there was love between
That quite useless 'Hero' and me.
What happened was,
The stadium that we were at..
It was the stadium of the Portugal-Greece match.
By then Portugal had lost.

The King/Prince ordered his servants
To interact with the Portuguese Footballers.
That includes me,
And when I exclaimed I saw Luis Figo,
The quite useless 'Hero' looked so sad.
LOL!

I went forward in the middle of the field,
Where Figo was looking at the sky.
I comforted him,
And we sat down and talked,
And slowly he began to smile again.

He gave me his address,
And I can still remember it (Hooray!):

60u Sexy Baby Ville (his handwritting is awful)

*Chuckles*

After that, I really don't know why,
I leaned against him...(Helene's going to kill me)
And he taught me Portuguese.

He wrote 'Ha Al!' on a CD cover
And explained that it meant 'Hello!'
(Which I later found out wasn't true.)

And THEN...I was woken up to hang clothes.

The dream ended there.

Aren't you envious?
It was such a nice time with Luis Figo!...
(And the sad, quite useless 'Hero')
