Yea man! I will try to remember your birthdays too man! God I feel so blessed. If i don't remember your birthdays, it either means that i totally forgot or i wasn't aware. oh man. i feel so bad... :( hais! sorry in advance, and happy birthday in advance too. in case! HAHAHAH omg what am i typing. wawasan your head can.

So school has started [suddenly] and I have been late for ALL my lectures in the past two weeks except today's. Today I was an hour early, so that I compensated and started ''afresh''. So my resolution for this semester is: BE EARLY FOR LECTURE. I somehow think that I hate tutorial balloting more than bidding for lectures. In any case, I can't stand the whole cors system, PERIOD.

Speaking of school, I have literally tons of readings to do. I keep falling asleep whenever I open the reading by Mitra. Really, it's like a sleeping pill. And i'm still stuck on the 2nd page, 3rd line, because I haven't totally understood constituent assembly. arggghh. And for my wonderful GEK1041, I am stuck at World Bank 05 because they're basically rambling. I am stuck at page 2...line...oh it's the second paragraph. yeah man. I have yet to buy the textbook for TR and 2219. omg. i'm so so lagging. LAGGERBUG!!!!! wawasan your head can.

so for GEK1041 I met someone through a friend and guess what's his name? his name is......TEDDY!!!!!!!! I totally love his name. he's a PS major like xiu mei. haha. i think he can't stand me cos i keep calling his name. anyway. here's to a beary friendship.

so anne and i completed uopa. that's really an achievement for this month. yoohoo. *slaps 5*

oh ya and i attended a wedding dinner at Grand Copthorne with grams. she's like, social bee there and i'm like her personal escort can. i don't know anyone, and i was at a table with 8 other aunties. haaais. where are all their hot sons when i needed them?? and yeah, leepin was my personal GPS for that day. thanks to her man!

so i've met my functions committee and yeah i feel quite happy with them because there's omar, xuanyu, tv.. and of course the founders anqi, leepin and weiwen. yeah man! i don't know them very well but yea man!

oh darn. I'd better finish my World Bank 05 reading now. after this i got geider 97 to read can. read read read! wawasan your head can.

and oh man i kenna forced to join bike quest can. i'm joining with 7 other people for leisure. as if i'm a pro biker??? lucky i had training session with ade at east coast! :P HAHA we'll see how it goes man. if i peng then i will ''pua-doh'' [quote: feather woman].

walamak i got to start thinking of topics for my individual research. research research research! wawasan your head can!

today came to lecture and saw greek god. but greek god never see me. his name is Derek Callow and he's some regional marketing manager for Google. he is uber model can. his head is like type-wentworth and his torso-down is like type-better-than-becks. he's that kind of commercialized magazine man. tight working shirt, tight jeans, great arm muscles, tall and wentworth-head. i think if you see him you all will peng and ''pua-doh'' on the spot can. but when i saw the bag that he carried, i almost really ''pua-doh'' because it was so.....girl. i took some photos of him: HAHAHA shh! [sorry i don't know how to flip this]

oh yah, just wanna drop a quick note to anne: THANKS FOR 2000. i totally didn't even have word, can. really really thanks. and i'll return it to you the next time i see you. YEA MAN!

oh yah i KENNA TICKET $30. so please please please remember to put coupon. you don't wanna end up paying $30 for NOTHING. stupid lor! i wasn't the only one to get ticket though. feel less embarrassed. but my morale for the whole day dropped to an all-time low. so please please put parking coupon from now on k. wawasan your head lor.

STILL! ONE THING'S FOR SURE!!!
.....TO JANUARY! *tink glasses*

So it's been 2 weeks since I've last updated this blog. Over the last two weeks of proper rest, I've had the chance to meet up with my ole gang on two separate accounts- one without anne and with van and one with anne and without van. The with-Anne one was at Fish Manhattan Market. Good food with big portions. The with-Van one was at Ichiban. Both days were darn meaningful and comfortable cos we had time to catch up with one another. I don't even remember when was the last time we met! I was remarking that our frequencies didn't change despite being apart. We're still liddat. And of cos ade and i managed to clear a day for cycling. It was uber tiring and I think we each lost 7-8kg that day. Rockin fun!

Then I've met my old friend Hilda [and no i don't mean ME]. She's I think 3-4 years my senior and this time we went to Central (yes, again). We ate at Waraku and it was really shiok, though the ambience too noisy! Pity that we had to shorten our meeting because I had tuition that evening. But anyway we knew what to do next time we meet! Karaoke and kayaking! :)

I also spent another day in Central to celebrate my arts buddy's birthday. We ate at Ma Maison. It is the best restaurant with the best food! I love the escargots can! Because of all these hang outs in Central, I've come to really love that mall. The stuff there are nice, and there are some selective reasonable restaurants.

Then one fine day I was going out and I saw NIAP on the MRT platform at CCK. I have NO idea that he would be there and I absolutely had to walk past him, so saying hi was inevitable. His camp mates were also there, so after talking for 6-7 lines, I say I gotta go and went to the other extreme end of the platform. hahaha so strange. immediately after that I called van. I can't stand the whole incident!

Then saturday I went to mark uopa for npcc. so sian diao can. but was very fun cos i was with anne and amanda, so at least it was bearable. the worst part of all was that there was NO AIRCON. cos it was saturday. so we were in that room for like 9-7pm? aiyo. so after that i went dinner with them at lot 1. well. this was how i spent my last 19-year-old saturday.

on sunday I had squad outing. we went to eat swensens at marina. it was fun cos we had time to catch up and those ntu pple complained about school cos their school started first. then they talk a lot of crap. it was doubly nice because they celebrated my birthday with me! and it was like, so sweet right?? i was SO surprised cos the swensens cake came and it was like $40 can. i mean, it's so sweet of them to remember things like that! but in the end got 11 of us, so quite reasonable. the photos are with gaya, i think he haven't uploaded yet. *sigh* so sweet so sweet so sweeeet! :D after that they went to do bowling or karaoke but I had to leave because got tuition. drats! tuition is taking away my social life! hahaha. anyway, i really had fun. and that was how i spent my last 19-year-old sunday.

then suddenly school open liao. my laptop has been down for so long and i got it back on the 11th. sad to say that all my collection and memories have been gone cos the stupid HDD crashed. so...no more photos. ah shit my project and research also gone. ah double shit, my microsoft power point is also gone! and i can't remember who lent me the powerpoint software disc. i'm sending an appeal out to the public-anyone who has free powerpoint software pls lend me cos i can't print my lect notes! i'll give you a big treat!

yah then school opened and i was late for the first and third lecture of the week. late by 10-15 minutes. the second lecture i wasn't late because it was immediately after the first lecture IN the SAME LT. so sad right. but anyway had fun with my arts buddies. i think this sem will be a blast! oh sadly, i had to give up my beloved theatre studies because i had to do a marketing module instead.. and my theatre studies is really my darling and love but i had to give it up this sem. hopefully i can do it again...someday... :(

anyway, looks like it's the start of a busy term, and it's more challenging this sem cos must juggle tuition plus np. on top of that i'll be having 3 heavy-duty group projects. individual projects i don't count as projects. they're called assignments. but group projects are major worry because i may get certain idiotic people [again]. hopefully all my future group mates will rock!

All Good Things Come To An End
___________________________

2007 has ended yesterday and our mini ''countdown get-together'' was so noisy in every room that i couldn't collect my thoughts and have my annual reflections on the past year, during which i'll try to erase bad memories and make new year resolutions. haha it's like a personal 'national day rally', more like.

I remember in year 2000 at the turn of the millenium my nuclear family was camping with my dad at his workplace cos he had to work overnight that day. we celebrated with his colleagues and also the family of his colleagues. quite strange cos we were virtually strangers but at the stroke of midnight we jumped up and wished one another like old friends.

2007 was the year that I spent as a 19 year old kid trying to grasp hold of the bigger picture of life. trying to find reason among impulses, and connecting day-to-day events like a huge real jigsaw puzzle. I guess this is the pre-20 syndrome, where we try to live our last 'teen' year as a proper teenager before expiry, and do all the things that a normal teenager would. I shudder at the thought of stepping into my 20s in 2,3 weeks time. 20s. It used to seem like a far-away age and life in the teens was comfortable and manageable.

well when i was 11 and 12, i was having the time of my life in primary school with my clique of nuts. we experienced new girlish stuff together, did [lame] projects together and played some pranks, almost got into trouble with the principal [but we ran away!]. as prefects we could hang out in places that were usually out-of-bounds to other students [teachers room!], and we used to hang out at our friends' houses. of cos we did bitched about teachers, though at that time we didn't use the word 'bitchy'. we performed on stage, were 'buddies' to the new primary 1 kids and well come to think about it, we were cool! then PSLE came and we were all posted to different schools. monica went to SCGS, nul went to crescent, ama to jurongville, sand went abroad.. hais. now all lost touch except for the occasional facebook and friendster.

13 was the year i enrolled into stc. haha i remember how in sec 1 i had pretty much what it took to be a loser. i went through embarrassing situations when i was 13. new school, and i was all alone. i was the only kid from BLPS. no friends, nil, nada. then i saw stacey chia, my friend from henry park. she was the first person i spoke to. felt relief! and gradually made more friends from then on. oh 13 was the first time i chatted with a boy on MSN. he was some kid from SJI. and no, nothing happened. didn't meet him though we were chat buddies for like months. and sec 1 was when i was super duper good friends with cher and i knew her secret and she knew mine. haha so childish. it was a senior-junior thing. hahaha. so stupid. and sec 1 i was Angel Gabriel on stage during the nativity play. i remember whitney being there clearly. she was playing joseph.

then i turned 14. hmm..14, 14, 14. i think sec 2 was when i made friends with Fish. i think we became friends in the library. hahahaa so stupid. sec 2 was the miss kingsley-miss loke era. sec 2 was when i hung out with lifang, ch'ng yi and dine every day after school. i love the moments totally! sec 2 was when lifang and i went crazy over the piano and sneaked in places to play the piano secretly. 14 was when i started to really love guiding and all my friends there. :) sec 2 was went i went international guides camp and made guiding friends from overseas and exchanged cute sovenirs. oh ho i loved the carefree 2002!

15. ohh 15 was when my academic became unstable. i think i was class chairperson. yah i was. i remember that cos i've got the silly 3A shirt to vouch for that. and 15 was when i became really fast friends with my clique with ade anne van fish wq. 15 was also when i got where i was in guides. so 15 was the year i experienced friendship strains that i had never experienced before, and so-called "politics" present in almost every ug. and we had the stupid stc funfair that some other pple wanted it their way for the class stall. and i'd just let them do it since i'm generally a peaceful person and anyway i had my guides stall [hey our guides stall raised $4000+ and heard it was the highest??]. anyway collen since she was vice chair, we talked on the phone pretty often. but i realized that i should have been more careful when i told her things. hais. anyway the nonsense between the councillors and us in 4A was really a piece of cake to bear compared to the other shit in other areas of my life. and i got confirmed in church when i was 15 too. 15 was when i wanted to go OBS but couldn't because of the simultaneous guides camp i had to be around for. hey, it's called responsibility! and 15 was the year i started bearing shit from my guiding seniors. 15 was really a year of internal turmoil and a lot of suffering and heart pains that i had never experienced before, despite looking normal. and 15 was when i started taking music at ACSi with van job and ellyne. those music classes enabled me to learn a lot and as much as it became draggy at times, i was glad i could be away from my upheaved life for that few hours. at the end of the year i was up on stage with other actresses in my 3A for that scene from A View From The Bridge. I was some lawyer and i put on that Italian accent. I was acting with whitney [once again] and i could remember every moment on that stage from the start to the end. I could remember the applause. it was so 'sart!' and 15 was when i hung out with shuqi. and 15 was when i gave the i couldn't be more relieved that the bloody year had ended. As an appreciation for myself, I thoroughly enjoyed the Shanghai and Korea trip in December, which allowed mom and dad some private time together back in singapore.

when i was 16.. well a lot of things happened that would ultimately change the structure of my life and my overall perception of life. it was a significant year. if i said that 2003 was a painful year, it was no match for 2004. 16 wasn't sweet 16 at all. it was cruel 16, more like. i had to step down from being class chair. and i handed over my guides when time was up. that was perfectly fine with me, as much as i was sad to leave. i think if i had to bear everything one more day, i'll end up in woodbridge. 16 was when i started having fits when i was sleeping, and i remember once even in class. was fortunate that ade came out with me to calm me down. 16 was when i studied for the prelim exams at the hospital. and 16 was when i clammed up everything to myself, being too afraid to speak. 16 was when i felt everything on my shoulders. 16 was when i couldn't study, i couldn't sleep. i came late for classes after the prelims. 16 was when i became really close to mrs karen leong. i knew her secrets and she knew mine. 16 was when i cried with my senior huilian after hearing her sad story and what guiding really meant to her. 16 was when you've gotta be strong, or act strong, whatever it is, to look strong. 16 was when my whole life became restructured.

17 improved a great deal. i got posted to cjc. 1t18. i worked on sundays, and pretty much went through jc1 life shakily. i was in student council in the first 3 months but chose not to continue because i realized i needed more time to myself. i fell in love with A level biology, but couldn't stand maths and chem. econs was easy because i had first 3 month's knowledge. i missed my subjects lit and history during the first 3 months. it was a lot of libraratic research and a whole lot of fun. anyway 17 was when i joined lawn bowling with van, ming and ting, and lawn bowling was pretty much a time-waster. but we played bridge sometimes so it was like bridge-lawn bowling. haha. 17 was when i went for ltc representing lawn bowling and made friends with wee min, arson, hui hui and the rest. ltc was a good camp! really really memorable. ahha ltc was the first time i experienced cat fights too. silly jealous fights. anyway in the end hui hui and i became lunch buddies in nus. haha. 17 was the PW year, and had fun in a lot of other projects. in any case i managed to cast everything else aside, and i got through 2005 safely.

18! that was in 2006. 18 was when we shifted to that lame classroom in H block. it was so mouldy and lame. and far away and secluded. 18 was the year that there was no more weekly PE lessons after NAPFA and gained all the weight back. 18 was when i jammed with my classmates. 18 was also the process of self-realization and self-discovery. 18 was when i was introduced to more ideology, and became confused about myself. it was in chemistry what you call an 'excited' electron stage when everything becomes unstable all at once. 18 was when i could truly feel comfortable only by being emo. i couldn't socialize, i couldn't even talk to van, ming, ting, anne, gaya. i couldn't talk to anyone. when i was 18, the adults in my extended family started hinting to me to start dating. when i was 18 i became unsure of myself and my grades went dropping. 18 was when everything became volatile and nothing was sure. 18 was when I lost a friend. Anyway 18 wasn't really a good year. After my A Levels I went to work. I was at NETS, and my usual workplace, and at research companies, and at the flower shop. I would say yes I preferred working. By December i just couldn't wait for the year to be over and start a new FRESH year in 07.

2007. The year that I started working with more companies and travelled luxuriously to more countries. In January I went to HK, February to Bintan, April to Aust, June to Hainan. Hurrah. The high life. Haha not really. It was pretty balanced since I worked and travelled at intervals. 2007 was when I turned 19. got my license. oh i also enrolled into NUS! 2007 was when I had fun in fass, and went crazy at matric fair with weiqi. 2007 was when i cursed CORS and yet enjoyed the modules that i was given. 2007 was a year that i met a lot more people in uni, kind people, irritating people, weird people, similar people, foreign people. didn't meet up much with my stc clique but still good enough. 2007 was when my sunday job ended because the shop closed for good. 2007 was when i started giving tuition and loving it. 2007 is really a year that I have become stable, and i know who i am, and what i live for. 2007 was also the year I did random flag days just for the fun of it. HAHA. I think I did the SPCA one with sharon kee. 2007 was when i went orientation camps all over again and made new friends, and went chalets with bunches of pple i hardly knew. 2007 was my first time in fright night that i'll never forget. hahaha! 2007 was when i got used to uni life. the not-sec-school nor jc-life. 2007 was a rockin enjoyable year! oh yah and it was the year i decided to remain single for the rest of my life [*now subject to changes]. oh and 2007 was the year i joined the corps. hey what a great way to end the year! :)

wah readers, i think if you've dutifully read until this sentence, either you have nothing to do or you're totally enraptured by my story. whatever reason it may be, i thank you for reading my story. :) i mean, it's nice to have someone who actually bothers to find out how you have been and bother to even come to your blog. so i'd say i really appreciate you reading my post. :) and for your info i took hours to type this post! i felt much better once i've typed everything out. it's like a fountain of emotions, spurting out the pain and reliving the days. quite a nice journey, really, with just my laptop and me in the quiet, gentle night. and with that, on this 1-1-2008 i can truly say, YES I'M READY FOR MY 20s!!! :)
