apparently my blog was labelled "BORING" and "SIAN" and "SINCE 3rd JULY LEHHH". so due to popular demand (and by popular demand i mean 3, if not 2, voices), i shall update you on the latest happenings in my life.
First up, my BANGKOK TRIP!!!!!
These are the culprits. It couldn't have worked out better. Am pleased to meet van's friends tianli brad and tom. tianli happens to be my BLPS classmate and friend of 4 years. we were kind of close once, but then later i guess we found our own friends. in blps she's very super duper quiet, and studious, and as we recollect she told me that once i wrote her name in my prefect offence book, and she took my book and she liquid her name away hahahahaaha so childish! anyway we both couldn't remember why i booked her.

you've got to love dunkin' donuts in bangkok. it's so cheap, you could ruin your mind for that. you pay 39 baht, you get one big drink (see photo) and 3 donut balls. and on the last day i was really really BROKE so the 39 baht was my lunch. i had my lunch with tianli cos van and babe were having their nails done (which they complained of lousy polishing).

this is tom cruise. i was complaining that i don't have a photo with him, so on the last day we took it IN THE WASHING PHOTO shop. can u believe it. by the way washing photos there is really cheap, it's like 2 baht per photo!!! (ok, 3 baht for better quality) and blowing up photos are as cheap as donuts.
this kid here is simply the cutest kid in bangkok. he's gonna grow up to be a thai actor (better than pornsak) and when he's famous and all the girls drool over him, he's going to scan the crowd and see me smiling up at him in my 40s,...
OH and OH. THIS IS IT. this martial arts guy, the guy in red, i was privileged to have eye contact with him for VERY VERY LONG (okay, maybe half a minute) when he was getting ready to fight on stage when he was facing me. his eyes bore right through me and i promise you, it was SO amazing that i didn't know what to say. goodness me, it's no point that i keep going on and on here cos you wouldn't understand it.
so in the end, the red guy won and i cheered AHAHAHHAAH. :) my thai hero!
on day 4 we went to kanchanaburi, north west of bangkok, 3 hr journey by bus. it was AMAZING because we got to see the Death Railway, the railway that appeared in history texts and how many thousand POWs died there. it was great and it suddenly became very real to me after the trip. that the war once happened. and it made me appreciate international peace more. i read on the wall of the museum that one guy joined the army when he was 18 and he fought in the war and when he came back home he was 25 i think and he passed away due to some war illness.
and it was fantastic that we get a ride in the train on the death railway. inside the train we take madness photos and also we get coffee and we get a soft drink. and yes, we paid for this 1-day tour package to kanchanaburi ha it's 1600 baht.
hoho this photo is yes it's me but i know it doesn't look like me, it looks more like a goddess from the sky. it's so lovely. and i think i look like my mom in this photo.

OMGOSH this photo is very dear to me because yes, he was handsome and yes, they were friendly but MORE IMPORTANTLY they wanted to take a photo with me after i posed an individual photo for them. cos that guy in brown was snapping away at random angles then i showed my peace sign and he took photo with me then after that brad took photo of me and them. i love taking photos with strangers on tours! *sigh* makes me remember the good old days in perth where i took photos with RANDOM people and DOGS everywhere. i remember i took photo with a aussie dalmatian once. it attacked me! :)
THIS, THIS, THIS. This is the sunrise at the alley that we stayed. it is BEAUTIFUL. oh this shot is artificial, the real one that our eyes see is a bit darker. but it's beautiful, so so beautiful at 6+am.
ha, this is the 150baht shirt that babe bought. at the front there's HOMER and at the back there's the back of homer's head. i love homer! he accompanies me at night when i can't sleep! (dvd)
and yes she loves it.

THERE IS ACTUALLY A&W IN BANGKOK. I can't believe it. I simply can't. A&W was my childhood friend and I remember that I like to join straws together and together and together on and on and on in A&W. It brings back lots of childhood memories..and i remember last time Singapore's A&W there were charlie chaplin photos on the walls. A&W! COME BACK! I'll buy from you everyweek!!!!
OH. YES. THAI MASSAGE. How can anyone not go for thai massage in thailand? The only massage that i've done is oil, and i was totally naked, but this time round we wear this kungfu suit, and yucks i'll never forget my thai massage experience. they complained that i was noisy BUT i was already suppressing A LOT okay, i could have yelled louder. and my masseuse was very friendly! she also massaged my feet the next day and i enjoy FOOT MASSAGE THOROUGHLY. (it's less drama). did you know that for thai massage they actually step on your ass??? and they pull your leg like they wanna pull it out and they actually pound on your soles. it's terribly PAINFUL (for me at least). the others seem to enjoy it. 149baht.
OH YES we went dreamworld. it was so fun, though my ex-classmate tianli got wounded by some cable car part and it was a deep cut and her lips totally went pale and she became totally pale and she had to go to the hospital to get her cut stitched. poor girl...when she became so pale i almost fainted because she was SO SO PALE. goodness me, thankfully the staff at dreamworld sent her to the hospital with tom and they got it stitched and dreamworld paid the bill.
good old dreamworld! :) that's good PR! anyway recently when i saw her again, there was a scar, and i told her that it looked great. (yes, i think scars like that are beautiful, it makes you real).
OH! You totally should know who we look like. Look at the poutishness and the poise and the hairity. YES. YOU GOT IT. it's ANGELINA JOLIE. and right next to her it's BRAD PITT. oh yes. asian version. total resemblance. (yummy.)

oh i saw this pakistani family taking a family photo, and then i cheonged inside also, i said "CAN I TAKE WITH YOU???" then they said "COME ON IN" so there i was! :) yay so fun~! they said they had 3-4 families combined together here, it's a family vacation. so fun right! :)

oh inspired by pull and bear, i attempted to create a junkie attire and van has also encouraged me because she say i had all the essential tools to create a junkie outfit.
she was right, cos it turned out great. shall wear this out one day, and i may add a black tube on top of the white Old Navy.

THESE ARE THE CUTEST PUPPIES IN CHATUCHAK MARKET!!!!! look at st bernard!!!! look at the retriever baby!!! THEY'RE SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!! i almost fainted there because they were so cute!!!!!!!! i kept cuddling them, and the retriever came very close to me and he's so so cute!!! and st bernard is absolutely fluffy and fat and OMGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *SQUEAL*
Yup, i bought a lot of things at chatuchak. hehehe. and of course in thailand i practiced my thai and i used it very very well and i must say that i was of high importance to bangkok because of my bilingualirization. hint to anyone who is going, if u need a thai translator, you can always pick me, all u have to do is provide an all-expenses paid trip. YAYYYYY!!!!!
bangkok is really a great place to travel and shop and have fun because the people there are so friendly, and tuktuk drivers (the good ones) are really funny because when i was in one of them, the driver offed the engine because it was red light. then i asked him "motor yoo tee nai?!" meaning "where's the motor?!" then he laughed! lols...he's so cute.
and yes, thai men are pretty suave. i miss my bangkokian friends...my masseuse, my photoshop auntie..
and yes i posted letters to mom and grams from bangkok. it costs 25baht per mail and it tooked some 3-4 days to get home. hehe. coolness. ahh..i miss the trip! and the people on the trip. :) oh and i have 13 albums of the trip on facebook, if anyone's interested. hahahaahahahaahaa. maddity i know.

Wah, one event down for FO. It's Annual Retreat 2008 and we held it at Ngee Ann Alumni Clubhouse (my club!) and it was great. really grateful to people who turned up..and the seniors were bade farewell and well wishes.. :) YAY!

GRAMS! took her and my other gram to watch money no enough 2. the movie is really great, but i'll not spill the beans for those who wanna watch it. and i yes, non-stop crying (again). it was really touching. so now i'd like to learn some hokkien songs from 881 and the money no enough because I kind of like hokkien songs now. it's not as ah beng as it seems... hokkien songs are really really touching. :(
